Mossel Bay gets far less rain than George, and the satellite signal here is usually strong. What fails is the hardware. Salt carried on the wind settles on every metal part of the install. Mild steel brackets rust from the bolt holes outward, nickel connectors turn green, and once water gets into the cable the picture goes. We fit stainless or hot-dip galvanised brackets, compression connectors with weatherproof boots and UV-stable RG6.
Houses in Dana Bay, Pinnacle Point and along Diaz Beach are high and open to the bay, and the wind finds any loose bolt. A dish that moves a fraction loses signal, so we brace exposed dishes and check the bracket before we align anything.
A lot of homes between Dana Bay and Hartenbos are full over December and Easter and closed for months in between. Faults are found when the family arrives. If you live elsewhere, book a check before the season, and we can arrange access through a neighbour, an agent or the estate office.
