A house that stands empty for ten months has nobody to notice a slow fault. Salt air off the bay eats into bracket bolts, LNBs and connectors, and a winter storm can shift a dish out of line. By December the signal may be gone, and that is also when every installer in town is busiest.
That is why we suggest a check in October or November, or before Easter. We test the dish, the cable and every decoder in the house, and fix small problems before they turn into a blank screen on a full house. We can arrange access with a neighbour, the estate or your letting agent if you are not in Plett.
On the beachfront and on Robberg Ridge we use stainless or galvanised brackets and sealed connectors. Inland, at The Crags, Harkerville and Wittedrift, it is trees and long cable runs between buildings instead, so we use proper RG6 cable and support it along the way.
